Customize Text

Question:

How do I customize the text?

Answer:

Instruction - Variation 1 If your project has text on layer 1 please follow this instruction:

1. After you have opened the project you first click "UnGroup".

2. You then select the Text and click "UnGroup" again to get seperated letters.

3. Then just drag the letters to the name area above the first layer.

4. Delete the remaining letters from the alphabet which you don't need.

5. You then select all your placed letters (select one letter and hold "shift" on your keyboard, it is the key above "Ctrl" bottom left, to select them together) and you click "Weld" to change the letters into a single shape.

6. Then you will then select the first layer (you can select it from the layer list on the right) hold "shift" and select your text layer too.

7. So to make sure you have both layers selected you can see on the right in the "Layer" panel that 2 layers are greyed (selected) together.

8. With both the text and the first layer selected you click "Slice"

9. Now you just select the orginal letters and the sliced letters and delete. If you are confused just select all the remaining text layers from the layer list and delete them. You will now see that the first layer has a cut out.

10. Now click on Make it!
